About Fendi

Fendi was founded in Rome in 1925 by Adele and Edoardo Fendi as a leather and fur workshop. Its double-F logo was designed by Karl Lagerfeld, who began working with the house in 1965.

Its best-known bags are the Baguette, a small bag carried under the arm, and the Peekaboo, whose front opens to show the lining. Check the corners, the clasp and the interior. Each listing states the condition grade and what comes with the piece.

Buying guide

What To Look At

General points worth checking on any Fendi piece. Each listing adds the specifics: condition grade, what is included and any flaws.

  1. 01

On a Peekaboo, look inside: the lining and inner compartments are on show when the bag is open.

  2. 02

Check that the clasp or turn-lock closes firmly and is free of deep scratches.

  3. 03

Pony hair and embellished finishes are delicate; look for wear on the corners.

Questions

Fendi Answered

What is a Fendi Peekaboo?

The Peekaboo is a top-handle bag whose front folds open to show the inside, so the lining becomes part of the look. It can be carried closed, as a structured bag, or open.

How does Luxury Club authenticate Fendi pieces?

Every piece is physically inspected by our specialists before it is listed: construction, hardware, materials and markings are checked against what is expected of the maker and the era. Nothing is approved from photographs alone, and every sale includes a Certificate of Authenticity documenting what was verified on that specific piece.
